Join Us for a Special Screening of Hidden Figures!
Celebrate Black History Month with us as we present Hidden Figures, the inspiring and critically acclaimed film that shines a light on the brilliant Black women mathematicians who helped launch NASA’s space program. Nominated for three Academy Awards, including Best Picture, this powerful story follows Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson as they break barriers and change history.
This film holds a special local connection—Katherine Johnson, one of the real-life figures portrayed in the movie, was born in White Sulphur Springs, WV and went on to revolutionize space travel with her mathematical genius.
Thanks to the generous support of the Greenbrier Valley NAACP, Race Matters, Greenbrier County Democratic Women’s Club, and a few Anonymous Donors, admission is just $5 (instead of $10) for this special event! Don’t miss this chance to experience a story of perseverance, brilliance, and history that still resonates today.
Doors open at 6pm.
